The Black Car difference
Your Airport Journey with Black Car CR
We are a Costa Rican transportation company with local roots and a personal approach to hospitality. Our bilingual drivers and coordination team bring care, local knowledge and thoughtful planning to your first and last miles in Costa Rica.
Your private airport transfer is arranged for your party, not a timetable of shared departures. Settle into a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle with water, Wi-Fi and charging facilities; mobile coverage can vary along the journey.
Tell us about children and seat requirements, surfboards and special luggage during reservation. A little preparation helps us coordinate the right vehicle and a smoother arrival.

Airport Pickup & Meet and Greet
01
Complete your arrival
Pass through immigration, collect all baggage and clear customs. Then exit the terminal building fully into the public meeting area described in your confirmation.
02
Find your name
Look for the sign bearing your passenger name and Black Car identification. At LIR, our representative coordinates reception. Meetings take place in public areas, not inside restricted airport zones.
03
Stay in touch with us
Black Car CR is your main contact. If you cannot find your meeting point or sign, contact the company using your saved confirmation details so our team can guide you.
Plans can change
Flight Tracking & Travel Changes
Our team monitors flights to support your reception. Provide accurate flight information and notify Black Car CR of changes as soon as possible. Early or delayed arrivals and any pickup amendments must be coordinated and confirmed by the company, subject to operations.
Normal waiting while you complete immigration, customs and baggage collection carries no extra fee. That is different from moving a reservation by hours or days, which may require a new arrangement.
Missed connections and airline cancellations are reviewed against the flight information and circumstances to determine available alternatives under our existing policy. A change is not automatically confirmed or free of charge.
For rescheduling conditions, notice requirements and applicable charges, read our Cancellation, Modification & Refund Policy. Contact Black Car CR before relying on a revised pickup.
Leave with time on your side
Airport Drop-offs & Early Departures
3 hours international
1 hour domestic
Recommended arrival at the airport before your flight, plus driving time and road/weather margin. Follow your airline's requirements.
Black Car CR helps plan your pickup around the actual drive to the airport. Road conditions, rain and your departure location all matter. If you prefer a different pickup time, request it and coordinate confirmation with our team.
At a hotel or other location, a 20-minute courtesy wait applies after the agreed pickup time. Further delay must be coordinated with the company and may incur fees.
Overnight and early-morning service should be reserved in advance. The existing nighttime surcharge may apply and is disclosed in your quote when applied.
Smaller airports, personal coordination
Domestic Airports & Private Flights
Planning a connection through Nosara, Tamarindo or La Fortuna? Selected domestic-airport transfers can be arranged where the current quote supports your exact route. Local airport trips are usually served by Black Car Standard; the options returned for your route and party remain the deciding factor.
For a private flight, share the operator, terminal and arrival or departure details. We coordinate an authorized meeting point and timing with the relevant arrangements. Naming an airport here does not guarantee every local trip or access to private or restricted areas.
